The 2023 Festival is nearly here and we have some brand new activities in store for you this year.
Wales History Trails Passport Challenge
This brand-new challenge will encourage you to visit many of Wales’ fantastic museums and you’ll be in with a chance to win a special prize too!
All you need to do is pick up a passport this half term from one of the participating museums (see the table below), and visit six museums by mid-April next year to be in with a chance to win a pair of Beats Studio 3 Wireless Headphones, and National Trust family day passes.
Have fun and good luck!
Halloween Activity Booklet
This year’s Festival has collaborated with children’s author and former Bardd Plant Cymru, Casia Wiliam, to develop a brand new Halloween activity booklet for participating museums (see table below).
Suitable for primary school children, the booklet has lots of fun facts about the Celtic Halloween; the many different past Halloween traditions in Wales; and how people from across the world celebrate this time of year. It also includes games, puzzles and a ghost hunt too!
Participating Museums
In the tables below you can see which museums are participating in this year’s festival, which are taking part in the passport challenge, and which museums have a stock of the Halloween activity booklet. If you’re unsure and want to check anything you can email in**@mu*****.wales . To check out the events taking place at the museums visit our Events page.
Have fun, and don’t forget to share your photos and tag us @welshmuseums #WalesHistoryTrails
