Welsh Museums Festival
Here we go again!
Welsh Museums Festival is back this coming October, with a whole week of special events and activities for all ages at museums across Wales, many of them FREE. This year’s Festival runs from Saturday 28 October until Sunday 5 November, and our museums are ready to welcome Welsh families and visitors from beyond our border during the half term holidays for a truly #historichalfterm, with plenty of Halloween hullabaloo too!
There will be games, puzzles, activities and much more; plenty to entertain the little ones so the big ones can enjoy what our museums have to offer! There will also be talks, lectures, crafts, behind the scenes explorations, and conservation sessions to intrigue and delight history buffs of all ages. We’re gearing up for another #historichalfterm in Wales
We're brewing up a veritable potion of inspiration ready for a #historichalfterm here in Wales once more as museums across the land gear up for Welsh Museums Festival. This year there will be a mix of fantastic live events at museums across the length and breadth of the land, as well as online activities to enjoy. As always, there will be delights for young and old, and most will be free. This year our festival delves into the fascinating history of medicine, from ancient pestilence to folk remedies, the treatments and cures of our ancestors to more recent innovations. We'll also be exploring wellbeing and searching for wisdom from the annals of history and our fantastic collections, as well as making sure that we continue to support the wellbeing of our communities and visitors by...
